Vishwakarma Engg. Works

We are located out in Cooch Behar, in the Tufanganj area. Vishwakarma Engg. Works is situated very close to the Bank Of India branch and the local police station. It is a fairly quiet part of town compared to the big cities. We have a decent sized workshop where we handle all kinds of mechanical and engineering repairs. The building is older and has a tin roof that makes a huge racket when it rains, which happens a lot here. We have some old machines that have been with us for years and they still run fine if you know how to talk to them. The floor is mostly dirt and packed gravel in some spots and there are piles of iron rods and old engine parts lying around. Most of our customers are locals from Tufanganj who bring in their farm equipment or vehicle parts that need welding. We do not have a computer or anything like that, just a notebook where we write down what people owe us. There is a tea stall nearby where we go a few times a day. It is a slow and steady kind of life here and we do not see any reason to change it. We just keep our tools sharp and wait for the next job to walk through the door. It is honest work and it keeps us busy enough.
