Stationary World

Stationary World is located in Kamatsulbari. It’s a place that doesn't feel like the big city at all. Things move a bit slower here, which is fine by us. The shop itself is exactly what the name suggests. We have shelves filled with everything from pens to notebooks, though it’s not always perfectly organized. Sometimes you have to move a box or two to find what you’re looking for. Stationary World is where we spend our whole day, from the time we open up the front until the sun goes down. Kamatsulbari is the kind of area where you know your neighbors and people stop to chat for a bit even if they aren't buying anything. We don’t have a fancy website or a computer system for our stock; it’s all done by hand in our ledgers. The shop can get a bit dark in the back corners, but we know the layout by heart. There’s no big sign or flashing lights outside. It’s just a local spot for local people. On rainy days, the sound on the roof is so loud you can’t hear yourself think, but it’s peaceful in its own way. We keep the place clean as best we can, but with all the paper and cardboard, dust is just part of the job. It's a simple life running a shop in Kamatsulbari, and we don't ask for much more than that. We just focus on the items we have and the people who walk in.
