Vedanayagam Hospital

Our hospital sits at 52 East Bashyakarulu Road. It’s an older part of the city, and the streets are quite narrow around here. We’ve been in this building for many years now. It’s got high ceilings and those old-style windows that let in a lot of light during the day. The floors are made of stone and they stay cool even when it’s boiling outside. We have a lot of regular patients who have been coming to see us for decades. They know the layout of the place as well as we do. It’s not a very modern-looking facility, and we don't have those electronic screens that tell you when it's your turn. We just call out names like we always have. Sometimes things get a little disorganized in the mornings when everyone arrives at once, but we eventually get through the list. The staff here is like a small family. Most of us have worked together for a long time, so we don’t need to say much to know what needs to be done. We spend a lot of time talking to the families who come in. It’s just as important as the medical stuff, really. The backyard has a few trees where people sit when the waiting room gets too warm. It’s a quiet, steady kind of place. We don’t do much advertising because most people find us through word of mouth, which is how we like it.
