Usha Intec

Out in Vadavalli, at 8 Kalidas Nagar, you’ll find the Usha Intec building. It’s a quiet enough street, which is nice for getting work done without too many distractions. We work on technical stuff here, mostly involving components and systems that people don't think about much until they stop working. Our workspace is filled with tools, testing equipment, and a lot of wires. It’s not a showroom; it’s a place where things get built and tested. We spend hours looking at schematics or trying to figure out why a particular part isn't behaving. It can be frustrating, but it’s what we are used to. The team here is small, and we mostly just talk to each other about the jobs we have on hand. We don't have a fancy reception desk or anyone to greet you at the door; you usually just have to knock and wait for someone to come out from the back. Kalidas Nagar is a good spot for us because it’s easy to get to, but far enough from the city center noise. We have our routine—coffee in the morning, checking the workbench, and then getting into the technical tasks for the day. It’s a steady way to make a living, and we enjoy the hands-on nature of the work we do. We just focus on making sure the equipment leaves here in working order.
