You can find Ultra-Cool Engineers over at 110, M.R. Complex on Nehru Street. Ram Nagar is always buzzing with people and traffic, so it’s never really quiet around here. Being in a complex means we have neighbors on both sides, and there’s always someone coming or going. The name on the door says Ultra-Cool, but the truth is, engineering work can get pretty sweaty and dusty during the day. We’ve got our setup inside, with all the tools and papers scattered around where they’re needed most. It’s not the kind of place where everything is perfectly organized, but we know where everything is. The stairs up to the office can be a bit of a climb if you’re carrying heavy parts. Nehru Street is one of those places where parking is always a bit of a gamble, but we make it work. We spend most of our hours looking at designs or fixing things that come in. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. No one here wears a suit. We mostly wear work clothes that can get a bit dirty. The ceiling fan hums all day long, trying to keep the air moving. It’s just a regular engineering spot in a busy part of town. We like being in Ram Nagar because everything is close by, even if it gets a bit crowded sometimes. Sometimes the tea boy from across the road brings us some snacks in the afternoon, and we take ten minutes to just sit and breathe.
