Swami Dayananda Jayavarthanavelu Tribal Rural Hospital

Swami Dayananda Jayavarthanavelu Tribal Rural Hospital is located on Kamaraj Road, specifically at numbers 38 and 39. It’s a bit of a long name to say, so most people around here just call it the hospital. We are out here to help people who live quite far from the big city centers. It is a rural setting, so things are a bit slower and simpler than what you might find in a metro area. The building is solid but doesn't have any of the glass and steel you see in modern private clinics. We have wards for the patients and a small area for emergencies. The staff lives nearby, and we often know the families of the people who come in for treatment. We deal with everything from basic fever to things that are more serious. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we have a backup generator to keep the lights on where it matters. The yard outside has some trees and it’s usually where families wait and talk while they are visiting. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just focus on the work that needs doing each day. The floors are stone and they stay cool in the heat. It’s a practical place built for a specific purpose in this part of the country. We keep the registers by hand and make sure the supplies are stocked as best as we can.
