Subam Clinic

This Subam Clinic is over in the A-2 Kurichi Housing unit, phase 2 in Sundarapuram. Since we are located inside a housing unit area, it is a bit quieter than being out on a main commercial road. It is mostly families living nearby who come to see us. The clinic is small and fits right into the neighborhood. You might walk past it if you weren't looking for the sign. We do not have a huge staff, just a few of us here to help the patients when they arrive. It is a very casual atmosphere. People often stop to chat with each other while they wait for their turn. The rooms are basic, with just what is needed for a medical visit. We try to keep a schedule, but as with any clinic, things sometimes run behind. If a patient needs more time, they get it, and that means the next person has to wait a bit. We do not mind that much because it is more important to get things right. The Sundarapuram area is growing, so we see new faces every now and then, but mostly it is the regulars. We do not use any fancy management systems or anything; it is mostly just paper files and a lot of talking to people. It is a local place for local folks. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It is just about providing a simple place for the people around the housing unit.
