Sri Renu Impex

Sri Renu Impex is located at 7/11B in Thottipalayam, which is part of the Chinniyam Palayam post office area. It’s a bit of a trek from the city center, but it suits us fine because we need the space for all the crates and shipping materials. Most of what we do involves import and export stuff, so there are always boxes being taped up or opened to check the contents. The building is a simple one-story structure with a large open area in the middle for sorting. We don't have fancy signage or anything. Mostly, it’s just us and a few local workers who help out with the heavy lifting. The weather in Thottipalayam can get quite hot in the afternoon, so we try to get the loading done early when it’s still cool. There are a few trees outside where we take our breaks. We handle a lot of paperwork because of the customs and shipping rules, so the desks are usually piled high with forms and stamps. It’s a quiet life out here for the most part, except for when the big trucks arrive and have to navigate the narrow turn into our yard. We just keep our heads down and make sure the labels are correct and the counts match the manifests. It’s not glamorous work, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday without fail. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time now and it feels like home.
