Oak N Cherry Wooden Wonder

We’re located at the junction of R.S. Puram, on West T.V. Samy Road. Oak N Cherry Wooden Wonder is basically a place where we play around with wood all day. It’s a nice area of town, but our shop is mostly full of sawdust and pieces of timber waiting to be turned into something. We don’t really go for that high-end boutique look. It’s more of a workshop feel where you can see the work happening. We like the smell of cherry wood especially, though we work with all sorts. Most of the time it’s just us trying to figure out the best way to cut a piece or finishing off a table top. We don’t have a big sales team. Usually, it’s just one of us coming out from the back with a measuring tape behind our ear to talk to whoever walked in. People come to us because they want something that isn't made of plastic or cheap board. We take our time with things, which sometimes annoys people who want it tomorrow, but wood doesn't like to be rushed. The junction outside is always noisy with traffic, but inside we just focus on the grain of the wood. It’s a simple life and we get to make things with our hands, which is more than most can say these days. We even use Venkatachalam Road to unload the bigger logs when it's not too crowded.
