Sri Ramakrishna Hospital

If you walk down Sarojini Naidu Road in New Sidhapudur, you will see our building standing there at number 395. It is a busy spot and there is always something going on. People are coming in and out of the front doors from early morning until late at night. We have different floors for different things, and the elevators are usually full, so most of us just take the stairs. The lobby has those rows of plastic chairs where families sit and wait. You can hear the fans humming overhead. It gets quite loud when several people are talking at once at the reception desk. The nurses are usually moving fast down the hallways with their charts. We have a lot of windows, so you can see the trees outside on the road, which is nice when you need a break. Parking around here can be a bit of a headache during the peak hours, as everyone knows. The floors are scrubbed often, so there is always that faint smell of cleaning supplies in the air. We keep a lot of files in the back office, and the staff there is always busy sorting through paperwork. It is a large place to look after, and things break down sometimes, like a leaky tap or a flickering light. We just call the maintenance guy and get on with our work. It is just a regular hospital trying to keep up with the town.
