You can find us over at No 23 in Kpr Layout, which is part of the Nandha Nagar area in Singanallur. We are pretty close to Shanthi Social Services, so most people use that as a landmark when they are looking for us. We’ve been doing decorating work in Coimbatore for a long time. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving heavy frames and bundles of flowers around. Our storage space is usually packed with stuff from the last job we did. We don't have a flashy showroom. Most of our meetings happen right there among the rolls of fabric and stacks of chairs. It gets a bit messy, especially when we are preparing for a big wedding, but we know where everything is kept. My brother and I run the day-to-day things and we have a few local guys who come in to help with the heavy lifting. We don't really do much in the way of advertising. Usually, someone sees our work at a function and asks for our number. That is how it has always been for us. The traffic around Singanallur can be quite a mess in the evenings, so we try to get our trucks out to the venues as early as possible. We just like doing a good job and seeing a place look nice once we are finished. It is hard work and our backs usually ache by Sunday, but it’s a good way to make a living for all of us.
