Sona Stores

Sona Stores is tucked away at 17D Ezhil Nagar here in Vadamadurai. It’s been sitting in this Kurudampalayam area for a while now. Most people around Coimbatore know the heat can get a bit much, so we keep the doors open for a bit of a breeze. It’s not a fancy place by any means. We’ve got shelves that we filled ourselves and a counter that’s seen better days, but it does the job. Usually, the morning starts pretty early around here. You see the same faces coming in for their daily bits and pieces. Sometimes the stock arrives a bit late because of the traffic on the main road, but we manage to get it all sorted eventually. People just drop in, sometimes to buy something specific, other times just to see what’s new on the racks. We don’t have any big corporate goals or anything like that. It’s just about keeping the place running and making sure there’s enough for whoever walks through the door. The floor needs a sweep pretty often because of the dust from the street. It’s a quiet corner of Vadamadurai, mostly. We know most of the neighbors by name and they know us. If you’re looking for a shiny supermarket, this isn’t it. It’s just a small shop where we try to keep things organized enough so you can find what you need without too much trouble. Just a regular part of the neighborhood.
