Our place is located at 247/5 in the Agraharam area of Singanallur. Smg Industries is right in the thick of a very busy part of town, so there is always something going on outside our doors. The building itself is older, with that worn-in feeling that comes from years of industrial work. We have machines running for most of the day, and you can hear the hum and clatter if you’re standing anywhere near the entrance. It’s not a place for someone who likes total silence, that’s for sure. We do a lot of small-scale manufacturing and processing here, and the floors are usually covered in metal shavings or bits of scrap that we sweep up at the end of the shift. We don't have a reception area or anything fancy like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find us on the shop floor actually working on a piece of equipment. Singanallur is a great place to be because everything we need is just down the road. We get our tea from the same guy every morning, and we know the other business owners on the block by name. It’s an unpretentious way to work. We focus on getting the orders right and making sure the machines are maintained. We don't use big words to describe what we do; we just make stuff and try to do a decent job of it every day.
