Site Supervisor

My name is M. Saravanakumar and I am a site supervisor here in Samathur. I live at 10/29 on Aranmanai Street, which is a well-known part of the village in Pollachi. This area of Coimbatore is famous for its greenery and coconut groves, but my work is mostly on the construction sites around the taluk. I spend my days watching over the workers and making sure the building materials are being used correctly. It is a lot of standing around in the sun and keeping an eye on the measurements. I am not much for big speeches or promotional talk. I just tell the guys what to do and make sure the walls are straight. Living on Aranmanai Street means I am close to the local community, and many of the people I work with are from nearby. I have been doing this for a long time, so I know how the local weather affects the drying of the concrete and when to call it a day if the rain starts. My office is just a small room at home where I keep my logbooks and the payroll for the laborers. It is simple, honest work that requires a lot of patience. Pollachi is a nice place to live and work, and I take pride in just doing a solid job as a supervisor without any of that corporate polish.
