Shri Lakshmi General Stores

This shop is situated at 174, Sakthi Road in the Ganapathy area of Coimbatore. We are specifically in Bharati Nagar. Shri Lakshmi General Stores has been here for quite some time now. I wake up and get here early to open the doors. Sakthi Road can get really busy with traffic, so there is always a bit of noise from the bikes and buses. Inside the shop, it’s a bit quieter. I have different sections for things like washing powders, snacks, and stationery. It’s a general store, so I try to keep a bit of everything that a household might need in a hurry. The pincode is 641006. Sometimes the stock arrives late and I have to wait around, but that’s just part of the job. I don't use any big marketing tricks. People in Ganapathy just know the shop is here. I know which families live in which block of Bharati Nagar by now. Sometimes I give the children a little extra candy if they come with their parents. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the shelves are full and that’s what matters. It is a simple place where we just do our daily work. I don’t think much about being corporate or anything like that. It is just a local shop for local people.
