Our place, Shalom Interiors Pvt. Ltd., is situated right on Lawley Road, heading towards Maruthamalai Road. It’s a busy stretch of tarmac. We spend most of our time dealing with wood, measurements, and a lot of sawdust. The office isn't a showroom; it’s where we sit down and figure out how to make things fit into rooms. People bring in their ideas, and we see what we can do with the space they have. It’s practical work. We’ve been in this spot for some years, and the area has grown quite a lot. You can hear the bikes and buses passing by all day. We have a small crew, and everyone knows what they’re supposed to do. Sometimes we’re out at a site, and other times we’re stuck here doing paperwork. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. We don't use big words to describe what we do. If a cabinet needs to go somewhere, we make it happen. The air usually smells like cut timber and maybe a bit of glue. It’s a real workshop vibe. We keep our tools sharp and our desks a bit messy. It’s just how we operate. Most people find us through word of mouth, which suits us just fine. We don't have a receptionist, so if we're in the back, you might have to shout a bit to get our attention.
