Service Engineer

Being out here in Kattampatty, near Pollachi, things move at a certain pace. We are based right here in Coimbatore district and it is a good spot for what we do. The shop is usually open six days a week, sometimes seven if someone is in a real pinch with their equipment. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we try to get the heavy lifting done in the morning hours before the sun gets too high. Most of the work involves fixing stuff that people use every day. It is not always easy to get specific parts quickly out here, so we often have to get a bit creative with how we fix things up. People around Kattampatty know us by name, which is nice. It makes the workday go by faster when you can chat with a neighbor while you are working on their machine. I have a lot of old manuals stacked up in the corner that I still look at from time to time because you never know what kind of old tech someone might bring in. There is always grease on the floor and a bit of dust, but that is a workshop for you. We just keep at it, day in and day out, making sure things are running like they should. It is basic work but it is important to the people who live and work around here.
