Sakthi Sugam Hospital

You can find us right on the corner of North 2nd street and Uthukuli Road here in the Palayakkadu area of Tirupur. It’s a busy spot because of all the traffic coming off the main road and the people heading to the local factories. The hospital building has been here for a while and you can see the wear and tear on the stairs from all the feet passing through. We usually have a lot of motorcycles parked out front, sometimes more than we have room for. Inside, the fans are always spinning to keep the heat down, and the nurses are usually rushing between the wards with clipboards. We don’t have any fancy decorations, just the necessary equipment and rows of beds. The smell of disinfectant is pretty strong the moment you walk in from 1A. Since we are in an industrial part of town, we get a lot of workers coming in after their shifts or families from the Palayakkadu neighborhood. At night, it’s a bit quieter but you still hear the occasional truck rumbling down Uthukuli Road. We have a small canteen area where the tea is always hot, which the staff and the visitors appreciate during the long night shifts. It is a practical place that stays open through everything, just trying to keep up with the needs of the local folks who live and work in this part of Tirupur. It’s not a quiet life here, but it’s our daily routine.
