Our workplace is over at Iyer Thottam on Sundarrkanuthur Road, located in the Kumarapalay Post area. It is a bit of a distance from the main city center, but we like the space we have here. Handling accessories means we are constantly surrounded by boxes and small components that seem to get everywhere if we are not careful. The building is practical and simple, definitely not a place for someone wearing a fancy suit. Most of our time is spent sorting through inventory or packing up items to be moved out. We have a few people who have been with us since the beginning, so there is a lot of talk about old times while we work. The road outside can get quite dusty when the wind picks up, and we usually have the big ceiling fans going to keep the air moving. There is no corporate structure here or long meetings to attend. We just show up, see what needs to be done for the day, and get to it. Sometimes we stay a bit late to finish a big batch, but usually, we head home once the work is through. It is a very local way of doing things. We talk about the local news and the weather while we handle the parts. It is just a regular group of people doing regular work in a quiet corner of town.
