Richmond Hospitals

Richmond Hospitals is situated on 1287 Trichy Road. It’s a spot that everyone around here recognizes. The building is older but it’s sturdy. We spend a lot of time making sure the rooms are ready for whoever comes in next. The staff here is a mix of younger people and some who have been here for decades. We don’t really do much in terms of decoration. It’s mostly just white walls and tile floors. The windows look out onto the main road, so you can watch the buses go by while you’re in the waiting area. It can get pretty crowded on Monday mornings. That’s usually our busiest time. We have several departments tucked away in different corridors. You might have to ask for directions if it’s your first time in, because the layout is a bit winding. The air conditioning works well, which is a relief in the summer months. We keep a stack of old magazines on the tables, though most people just use their phones now. It’s a practical place. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything; it’s just us doing the work every day. The front door has a bit of a squeak when it opens. We’ve been meaning to oil it, but things just stay busy. It’s a community spot where people come when they aren't feeling their best. The nurses often chat with patients about local news while they take their blood pressure or check their temperature. It’s just how things go here in this building.
