Ratnam College

Ratnam College sits right on Pollachi Main Road in Kpm Nagar. It’s been here in Coimbatore for a while now. When you walk through the gate, you see students hanging around the corridors or heading to their classes. It gets pretty busy in the mornings when everyone is arriving at once. We have different classrooms and labs spread out across the campus. It is just a regular place where people come to learn and get their degrees. Some days are quieter than others, especially when exams are going on and everyone is stuck in the library or the hall. The staff here mostly look after the day-to-day things, making sure the lights work and the schedules are posted on the board. You can hear the traffic from the main road if the windows are open, but inside the classrooms, it’s mostly just the sound of pens scratching or a teacher talking. We have some trees around the edges that give a bit of shade during the hotter months in Tamil Nadu. People from all over the city and even from further out come here. There is nothing fancy about the way we do things. It is just about getting through the syllabus and making sure the students have what they need to pass. We deal with a lot of paperwork and registration forms throughout the year. It keeps us busy. Sometimes the coffee machine in the break room acts up, but we manage. That is basically us.
