Shivanjalis Craft Shop

Shivanjalis Craft Shop is tucked away at No. 3 New Thillai Nagar in Pn Pudur. It’s a small space, and honestly, it’s usually quite messy because of all the things we keep in here. We have shelves reaching up to the ceiling filled with different kinds of papers, beads, and ribbons. If you are looking for something specific for a school project or just want to fix something at home, we probably have it buried somewhere in a box. I spend a lot of my time untangling strings or dusting off the containers of glitter that seem to get everywhere. The shop doesn't look like those big stores in the malls. It’s a bit cramped, and sometimes you have to move a stack of cardboard just to see what’s behind it. People from around Thillai Nagar come in mostly when they need something quick for a craft. I try to keep track of what’s in stock, but sometimes I forget to order more glue until someone asks for it. That's just part of running a local shop. I like seeing what people make with the stuff they buy here. Some of the kids bring back their finished projects to show me. It makes the long hours of sitting behind the counter feel a bit more worth it. It’s just me and the crafts most days, keeping the place going as best as I can without any fuss. It's a simple life really.
