P S G College Of Technology Department Of Textile Technology

We are over here at the P S G College Of Technology Department Of Textile Technology in Peelamedu. It’s a busy place with a lot of students walking around all day. Most of us spend our time in the department labs where the machines are always running. You can hear the hum of the looms from the hallway. We’ve been in this part of Peelamedu for a long time now. The building is older but it works for what we do. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit around and wait for it to come back on. Peelamedu is quite crowded these days with all the traffic on the main road. We usually get in early before the sun gets too hot. The textile department has a lot of history here at the college. There are samples of fabric sitting on almost every table. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. We have some old desks and a lot of filing cabinets full of papers from years ago. If you walk down the corridor you might see someone fixing a machine or checking a thread count. It’s just how things go here. We don't really have big meetings. We just talk while we work on the projects. The windows stay open most of the time to let the breeze in because it gets stuffy with all the fabric dust. That’s just life at the department.
