We are set up at 237 on 9th Street in Gandhipuram. It is a lively area with lots of people moving about. Our space is mostly taken up by a long cutting table and a few computers. I started doing this because I liked seeing signs go up around the city. Now, I spend most of my time peeling backing paper off vinyl and making sure there are no bubbles. My fingers get pretty sore by the end of the week. We have rolls of different colors leaned up against the walls. Some of them have been there a while. The street outside is narrow, so deliveries can be a bit of a headache. We have a small bench for visitors, but usually, it is covered in sketches or rulers. I do not really do the fancy sales talk. People just tell me what they need for their shop front and I get to work. Sometimes we go out to the sites to put things up, which is a nice change from being inside all day. The weather in Gandhipuram can be tough on the materials, so we try to use the sturdy stuff. It is just a regular shop where we make things for other regular shops. No big corporate meetings here, just us working with our hands and some basic software. I usually keep the door open to get a bit of a breeze while I am cutting.
