Nehru Arts And Science College

If you head out toward Tm Palayam in Coimbatore, you’ll find us tucked away in Nehru Gardens. It’s a decent-sized campus with plenty of trees, which is nice when the Tamil Nadu heat starts picking up. Students come here from all over, some taking the bus and others walking in from nearby. We’ve got the usual mix of classrooms and labs you’d expect at a college. People know us for being out here on the edge of the city. The mornings are usually the best time when it’s still quiet before the first lectures start. You can see groups of friends sitting under the trees with their notes. We don't really do much talking about ourselves; we just get on with the day. The staff rooms are usually full of papers and tea cups. We have been here at Nehru Gardens for quite a while, watching the batches come and go. It’s funny how the place feels different every year depending on the students. We keep the library open late for those who need it. It’s a straightforward place to study. No one here is trying to be something they aren't. We just provide the space and the books and let the students do the work. The walk from the main gate to the buildings is a bit long, but it’s a good way to wake up. It’s just a regular college doing its thing.
