Solai Traders

You can find Solai Traders at No. 217 in the Bungalow Compound area on Nanjudapuram Main Road. It’s an older part of the neighborhood and the compound has a lot of history to it. The gate is a bit rusty and squeaks when you open it but we've gotten used to it over the years. We do a lot of trading from this office and the desks are usually piled high with invoices and ledgers. It isn't a modern glass building by any means. The walls are thick and it stays relatively quiet despite the traffic on the main road. We have a couple of old wooden cupboards where we keep all the records from years ago. The air inside smells a bit like old paper and ink. Customers sometimes drop by to talk business and we usually sit around the big table in the center. There's a small garden patch outside the window that we try to keep tidy but the weeds usually win. We don't use much technology besides the basics needed to keep things moving. Most of our work is done through phone calls and writing things down in books. It’s a steady pace of work and we know most of the people who walk past our door every day. We’ve been here long enough that we feel like part of the bricks and mortar of Nanjudapuram. Just a simple trading business doing our thing and making sure the counts match at the end of the day.
