Our business is situated at 11, Xevis Cottage on Erukkadu 2nd Street in the Karuvampalayam area of Tirupur. Being in Tirupur, we are surrounded by the textile industry, so there is always the smell of dye and the sound of heavy machinery in the distance. Our own workspace is a bit more modest, tucked away on this street. It’s an older building, what they call a cottage style here, and it has a lot of character even if the walls are a bit stained. We have our cutting tables and sewing machines set up in the main room. It can get very warm in the afternoons, especially when all the machines are running, but we have some big fans that help a little bit. We don't have any fancy brochures or a website that looks like it cost a fortune. We just focus on the garments and making sure the stitching is solid. Most of the folks working here have been in the trade for decades. We talk about local news and family while we work. It’s a very grounded environment. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just take the fabric, follow the patterns, and finish the job. If there’s a mistake, we fix it ourselves. It’s a practical way of doing things that has kept us going for a long time. We’re just a small part of this big industrial town, doing our bit every day.
