Mithra Xclusive Ladies Designers

Mithra Xclusive Ladies Designers is situated on D.B.Road in R.S.Puram. It is a lively area with plenty of people walking by and looking at the shops. Our place is usually filled with different colors of silk and cotton fabrics. We spend our time measuring, marking with chalk, and cutting out patterns for dresses. It is a detailed job and sometimes our eyes get tired by the end of the day. The sewing machines have their own rhythm, and there is usually a pile of scraps on the floor by lunch. We have a few mirrors on the walls so people can see how the clothes fit, though sometimes the lighting isn't perfect. D.B. Road can be very noisy with all the shoppers, but we stay tucked away working on our designs. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle a needle and thread. Sometimes a customer wants something changed at the last minute, and we have to unpick the stitches and start that part over. It’s just how tailoring goes. We don't make any big promises; we just show people what we have done and let them decide. The shop is small and can feel a bit crowded when three or four people are inside at once, but we make it work and keep the shop running.
