Millwright Industries

Millwright Industries is out on Athipalayam Road, at number 162. We are located in Chinnavedampatti. It’s an industrial area, so there are lots of other shops and warehouses around us. We’ve been here for several years. The building is basically a large shed with a high ceiling. It gets very hot in the summer and a bit chilly during the monsoon. We do a lot of heavy work here. There’s always the sound of hammers or grinders going in the background. We have a small crew of guys who have been with us for a long time. They know their way around the shop better than anyone. We don't have a lot of fancy amenities for visitors. There’s a small desk in the corner where we keep the records and bills, but most of the action happens on the floor. We handle a lot of metal and heavy parts, so we’re always wearing boots and gloves to stay safe. Sometimes the trucks have trouble backing into the bay because the road is narrow and people park their scooters everywhere. We just help them guide it in slowly. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but we like seeing the finished products go out the door. We aren't looking to become a giant corporation. We just want to keep the shop running and do right by the people who come to us for help. It's a simple life.
