Our small place is located at No.3/2A in Gandhi Nagar Extension, right over in Bharath Nagar, Pothanur. It is not the easiest place to find if you aren't from around here, but the locals usually know where we are tucked away. We do a lot of small-scale industrial work here, mostly stuff that requires a bit of patience and a lot of manual effort. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, just another unit in the row, but inside we have all our tools laid out exactly where we need them. I spend most of my mornings checking on the inventory and seeing what came in the night before. We have a few guys who have been with us for years now, and they know the machines better than I do sometimes. The air smells like oil and metal, which I guess is the same for any shop in Pothanur. We don't spend money on advertising or fancy signs because word of mouth usually brings in enough work to keep the lights on and the families fed. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when we have a big order, but we manage to sort it out eventually by working late into the night. We just like to get on with the work without making a big fuss about it or pretending to be something we aren't. If you walk past Gandhi Nagar Extn, you'll probably hear us working away. It’s just how we operate.
