Mech Works

Mech Works is over at Plot No. 95 in the Sidco Industrial Estate. It’s in Malumachampatti, which is a busy area for small industries. Being in a Sidco estate means we are right in the thick of it. The machines run most of the day and we just handle whatever projects come through the door. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We’ve been at this location for some time now. The building is a bit old, but it serves our needs. You can find us by looking for the sign near the entrance of the estate. Most of the guys here live nearby in the Malumachampatti area. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy things for us. We just do the work. The floor gets oily and the air smells like metal and coolant. That’s how a real workshop should be. We deal with various mechanical tasks. Sometimes it’s a lot of repetitive work, other times it’s something new. We just take it as it comes. Plot No. 95 is where we spend most of our waking hours. It's a simple life here at Mech Works. No one wears a tie, and we usually have grease on our hands by ten in the morning. We just focus on finishing the day’s tasks so we can go home. It’s a steady pace here, and we don't bother with anything that isn't related to the job. We keep the machines oiled and the floor swept when we have a spare minute.
