Mangalur Agriculture Farmers Producercompany Limited

We are located at No 170 in Thozhuthur Post. This is part of the Tittagudi Taluk in Cuddalore. Mangalur Agriculture Farmers Producercompany Limited is basically a group of us coming together to handle our produce better. We don't have a big corporate headquarters. Our office is a simple building in the village where we gather to talk about prices and seeds. It’s a very local operation. Most of us are farmers ourselves, so we know the struggles with the weather and the soil in Cuddalore. We spend a lot of time out in the fields and only come to the office when there is paperwork to sign or a meeting to hold. The room is usually hot, and we just have a couple of fans going. There are posters about different crops on the walls and piles of ledgers on the table. We don't have any marketing people telling us what to say. We just talk about what’s happening with the crops. Sometimes the harvest is good and everyone is happy. Other years, we have to help each other get through. Being a producer company means we share the work and the results. We’ve been at No 170 for some time now and it’s a central spot for everyone in Thozhuthur. We just keep doing what we know, which is farming and looking after the community here.
