Manchester International School

Being over here in Hudco Colony, we've seen Vellakinar change quite a bit over the years. Manchester International School sits at SF No 29/3, and it's where we spend most of our waking hours. Coimbatore weather can be unpredictable, but the school day stays pretty much the same. We have children coming from all over the local area. It’s a busy spot, especially around drop-off time. We don't really go for those big, shiny speeches. Instead, we just focus on the classes and making sure the kids have what they need for their lessons. The halls are usually full of projects pinned to the walls. We have some trees around the grounds that provide a bit of shade during the hotter months. It’s a practical place. We deal with the usual school stuff—lost sweaters, lunch boxes left behind, and the occasional scraped knee. Everyone knows everyone after a while. We aren't a corporate chain; we're just a part of the community here in Coimbatore. The teachers are mostly local folks who care about the neighborhood. We try to keep things straightforward and honest. Sometimes things get a little chaotic, especially when it’s time for the school bus to leave, but that's just life in a school. We just show up every morning and get to work, making sure the building is ready for another day of teaching. It is not always perfect, but we like it here. There is always a lot to do before the final bell rings.
