Maha Sakthi Narayani Hospital Llp is out on Mambakkam Main Road in the Mambakkam Village area. This is near Sriperumbudur in Kanchipuram, so it’s a bit away from the main city crush of Chennai. The road outside is a main thoroughfare, so we see a lot of buses and trucks passing by all day. The hospital building itself is a decent size and stands out along the road. Inside, the floors are usually being mopped, and there’s a lot of natural light coming in through the windows. We have a large waiting hall because people often travel from nearby villages to come here. The benches are simple and the fans keep the air moving. Our staff is used to the pace of a rural hospital. They handle everything from basic checkups to more serious matters. We have a small garden area that we try to keep green, though the sun is very strong out here. The parking lot is just a dirt patch on the side, but it fits plenty of vehicles. It’s a plain, hardworking place. We don’t have any fancy bells or whistles. The nurses are local and they talk to the patients in a way that makes them feel at home. We just focus on keeping the doors open and being available for whoever shows up. It’s an essential part of the Mambakkam community and we take it one day at a time.
