We’re based out on Sitra Kalpatti Road, specifically at SF No. 213, Site No. 8 in the Kalapatti area. It’s a busy stretch of road, and there are always people moving back and forth between the different shops and sites around here. Our building is a simple structure, nothing too modern, but it fits everything we need for Maanchet Machine. We have the workshop area in the back and a small space for paperwork near the front entrance. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside if we leave the shutters up too long, but that’s just part of being in this location. The guys usually start early before the sun gets too high because the metal roof picks up the heat pretty fast. We don't really do much in the way of decoration; there are mostly just stacks of parts and some old calendars on the walls. It’s a very practical environment. We know most of our neighbors, and we often borrow tools or help each other out when something breaks down. Getting to us isn't too hard as long as you watch for the Site No. 8 marker. We spend most of our time troubleshooting or running the machines, so if you come by, you’ll probably find us with grease on our hands. It’s honest work and we’ve been doing it this way at this site for a long time now. We usually wrap things up as the evening traffic starts building on Kalpatti Road.
