Blumen Fashions

We are based over at No. 9 in Karunanithi Nagar, which is part of the Sowriplalayam area. It’s a residential neighborhood for the most part, so it’s pretty calm compared to the main roads. We have set up our fashion business in a small space here, and it suits us just fine. Most days involve sketching out some ideas and then trying to make them work with whatever fabric we have on hand. We don’t follow the big trends you see on television, we just make what feels right and what our customers seem to like. It’s a lot of trial and error, honestly. Some designs work out great and others end up in the scrap pile. We have a couple of machines that have seen better days but they still run well if you know how to treat them. Our neighbors often pop in to say hello or see what we are working on. We aren't trying to build an empire or anything like that. We just want to keep making clothes and staying busy. The light in the workshop is best in the morning, so we usually start early to get the most out of it. It is a bit of a squeeze when we have a lot of orders, but we make it work somehow. It’s a good little spot we have here in Sowriplalayam and we are glad to be here.
