Karuna Super Market

Karuna Super Market is tucked away on Vellalar Street at number 348. This part of Min Nagar stays fairly busy with neighbors walking by. We aren’t one of those massive stores where you get lost in the aisles. It’s a bit cramped in here because we try to fit as much as we can on the shelves. Sometimes you have to squeeze past a crate of soda to get to the lentils. We know most of the kids who come in for snacks after school. The lighting inside is a bit bright, and we usually have a radio playing somewhere in the back. It’s mostly just us stocking shelves and checking the dates on the milk packets. The front counter is where we spend most of our time. It’s made of wood and has a few scratches from years of coins and bags being slid across it. We keep a fan going near the door to try and move the air around. On rainy days, the floor gets a bit tracked with mud, so we’re always keeping a mop nearby. We don't have fancy uniforms or anything. It's just a regular neighborhood shop where you can grab what you need without much fuss. We try to stay open late enough for the people coming home from work. It's a living, and we enjoy seeing the familiar faces every day. There is always a lot to do, but we manage.
