Arni is famous for silk, and that’s exactly where we are based. You can find us at New No 485, which used to be Old No 154, on Sathyamurthy Road. K V Kumar Silk Sarees Private Limited has been part of this community for a while. We aren't doing anything revolutionary; we are just continuing the tradition of silk sarees that this town is known for. The road can get pretty crowded with tractors and bikes, but that's just Arni for you. Our building is an old one, but it serves us well enough for storing the sarees and keeping the books. We spend our days checking the quality of the silk and making sure the colors are just right. Sometimes the dyes don't come out exactly as planned, and we have to start over, but that is part of the job. We don't have any fancy titles here. We all just chip in where it’s needed, whether that’s moving boxes or talking to the customers who come from out of town. We don't have a corporate office in a big city. We are right here where the sarees are made. It’s dusty and loud sometimes, but it’s our life. We just want to keep the business going for another generation.
