Jay U Creations

Our small business, Jay U Creations, is over at 34 C Maniyam Street. It's in the Valipalayam Extension area. We’ve been in this street for a while and most of the other shop owners are friends of ours who help us out. The building isn't anything special to look at, but it's where we do all our hard work. We usually have the radio playing some music while we work on the orders for the week. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have a couple of old fans that help a little bit. We deal with various textile things and fabrics. It's mostly just local people who drop by to see what we have. We don't have a big marketing plan or a professional sales team. It's just us at the workbenches making things day after day. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time getting down Maniyam Street because it's quite narrow and crowded. We have to go out and help them park so they don't block the neighbors. It's just a regular daily routine here for us. We have some old machines that make a lot of noise, but they still work fine for what we need. Sometimes we stay late to finish up a batch if the deadline is getting close. We just try to do an honest day's work and then head home to our families. The extension area is growing fast, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. It's a comfortable and familiar place for us to be.
