You can find Indian Textile Supplier & Co. at 293 Dr. Nanjappa Road. This road is usually packed with traffic, so it’s always a bit of a scramble getting in and out. Our building is right there in the middle of all that activity. We have rolls of cloth stacked up all the way to the ceiling in some parts of the shop. It makes the place feel smaller than it actually is. We’ve been at this location on Dr. Nanjappa Road for quite a while now. The building is older, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy to worry about that. People come in looking for all kinds of fabrics. We spend a lot of time measuring out lengths of cloth on the big wooden counter. Sometimes we lose the measuring tape under a pile of samples, which leads to a bit of searching. It’s a busy atmosphere with the sound of the street outside and the hum of the overhead fans. We have a small back room where we keep the more expensive materials and some old records. It’s a bit dusty back there. We’re just a regular group of people trying to supply what’s needed to the local trade. We aren't into anything fancy. We just open up in the morning, deal with the customers, and pack up the orders. It’s a good, honest day’s work for all of us here.
