You can find us at No. 85 Rajavignesh Nagar, which is in the Ganapathy area on Vilankurichi Road. We have been here for a long time doing Ayurvedic work. It’s a big name, Indian Ayurvedic Hospital & Research Limited, but the day-to-day is actually quite grounded. We deal with a lot of herbs and traditional oils. The smell of the medicines is the first thing you notice when you walk in. It’s a natural scent that stays on your clothes. We have rooms for patients to stay in and areas where we do the research part of the job. It is not just about giving out medicine; we look at how the treatments are working over time. The staff here is mostly local people who have been working with these methods for years. We get a lot of people coming in for joint pain or skin issues. Sometimes the garden gets overgrown and we have to spend the morning tidying up the plants we use. It’s a bit of a mix between a hospital and a farm in some ways. We don't use a lot of fancy technology, just the stuff that has worked for a long time. The Vilankurichi Road is usually busy, but once you get inside the gates at Ganapathy Nagar, it feels a bit more settled. We just keep doing our research and helping people with their health the old-fashioned way.
