You can find us at 68/193 Sampath Street in Coimbatore. Gpm Engineering has been around this part of Tamil Nadu for quite some time now. Coimbatore is a big hub for engineering and manufacturing, so we fit right in with the local scene. Our workshop is usually full of the sound of machines running. We do a lot of metal work and custom parts depending on what the local factories need. It’s not the cleanest environment, as there’s always oil and metal shavings around, but that’s engineering for you. We have a few old machines that still work perfectly and some newer ones we’ve added over the years. The street can get a bit congested, especially when we have big deliveries coming in or going out. Most of the guys working here have been with us for years and they know exactly how to handle the lathes and drills. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we are checking a drawing or doing the bills. Mostly, we are out on the floor getting things done. If someone brings in a broken part, we see if we can weld it or if we have to machine a new one from scratch. It’s practical, hands-on work that keeps the local industry moving. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm in India, just a shop on Sampath Street that does the job right without any fuss.
