Over here at Gokulam Hospital Suppliers, things stay pretty crowded with boxes and tape. We are at 9b1 Balamurugan School Street. It’s easy to find because the school is right there and you can hear the kids playing during recess most of the time. Uppilipalayam is a decent area but the streets get cramped when delivery trucks try to come through in the morning. We spend most of our time checking lists and moving inventory around the room. It isn't a place where people come to hang out or shop around. It’s a warehouse and an office mixed together. There is usually a layer of dust on the higher shelves that we can’t reach easily. The desk is covered in old invoices and pens that don't always work when you need them to. We keep the hospital supplies moving out to wherever they need to go in the city. It’s a lot of lifting and counting. The floor is concrete and hard on the feet after a few hours of standing. Sometimes we forget to turn the radio on so it’s just the sound of tape dispensers and the school bell next door. We’ve been in Uppilipalayam PO for a bit and everyone in the neighborhood knows the building. It’s not a pretty shop. We don't have a showroom with fancy lights. If you come by, you’ll probably see someone hauling a crate or eating lunch at their desk. It’s just work. We keep the supplies ready and that’s the whole story.
