Rinu Mobiles

Rinu Mobiles is right on Cross Cut Road, 5th Street. We are directly opposite Shanmugha Lodge in Gandhipuram. If you’ve been to Gandhipuram, you know how crowded it gets with all the shops and people walking around. Our shop is at No. 1052. It’s a small space, but we pack a lot into it. We spend our days looking at tiny screws and cracked screens. It’s a lot of detail work. People come in all day with phones that won't turn on or batteries that died. It gets loud with the traffic outside and the fans going inside. We don't have a lot of room for people to sit and wait, so it's usually a quick in and out. We carry different parts and cases too. The counter is always covered in tools and little parts. We try to be honest about what can be fixed and what’s just junk. Sometimes we can fix a phone in twenty minutes, other times it takes days waiting for a part to arrive. It’s a busy life here on 5th Street. We know most of the other shop owners around. It’s a community of sorts. We’ve been at this location for a while now, and we’ve seen all kinds of phones come and go. It’s just us doing our thing in the middle of the city. The traffic noise from Cross Cut Road is constant, but you get used to it after a while. Sometimes customers bring in phones that look like they’ve been through a war, and we do our best to save them.
