Being located at Raheja Centre on Avinashi Road means there is never a quiet moment. The traffic outside is constant, and you can hear the horns even from inside Door No 105 A. Most of our day is spent staring at screens or talking on the phone with people who have technical issues. The office is a bit small, but we have enough desks for everyone. Next door is the Residency Hotel, so it’s a good landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. We have a small corner where we keep the server stuff and some spare cables that always seem to get tangled up. The carpets are a little worn out in the spots where we roll our chairs back and forth. It’s a typical office environment with some half-empty coffee mugs and stacks of printouts that probably should have been filed away weeks ago. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just a calendar and maybe a few notes scribbled on a whiteboard. Lunch breaks usually mean heading down to one of the little shops nearby or just eating at the desk while reading the news. It is just a place where work gets done without much fuss. We’ve been at this spot for a while now and the routine stays pretty much the same. Most of the staff know the security guards at the gate by name.
