Our office sits on Thottachiamman Koil Street in Udayampalayam. It is a busy little street, especially in the mornings when people are heading to the temple. We are at numbers 51 and 53, which are just regular buildings that we’ve converted into our workspace. It’s a tight-knit area. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood all day long, from the temple bells to the motorbikes passing by. We like it because it feels real. Inside, it’s mostly just desks pushed together and a lot of paperwork. Core Binary Infotech isn't a massive corporation with hundreds of employees. It is just a few of us who have known each other for a long time. We do our own cleaning, we make our own tea, and we handle all the work ourselves. There’s no big hierarchy here. If something needs to be fixed, one of us just grabs a tool and fixes it. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the chairs are a bit old, but they are comfortable enough for a long day of work. We spend our hours looking at code or talking through projects, occasionally stopping to complain about the heat or decide where to order lunch from. It’s a very honest way to work. We don’t try to pretend we are something we’re not. We are just a local business in Udayampalayam trying to stay busy and do decent work for the people who hire us to help them out.
