Computer Operator

Our place is at 103, Nanjundapuram Road. That is in the Ramanatha Puram area of Coimbatore. The pin code is 641045. We are known simply as Computer Operator. We do not think we need a fancy name to do our jobs well. It is a decent sized room where we have our setups. Coimbatore is a busy city and Nanjundapuram Road always has cars and bikes zooming past. We can hear the traffic while we work on the keyboards. We mostly handle things that locals need, like data entry or basic document work. It is not glamorous. We have some old posters on the wall and a clock that is five minutes fast. We never bothered to fix it. We just know that when it says it is five o'clock, we still have five minutes left. Most of the people who come in are from the neighborhood. We know them by name. We do not use any corporate talk here because it feels fake. We just tell it like it is. If a job is going to take two hours, we say it takes two hours. We drink a lot of coffee to keep going during the long afternoons. It is a small business and we take pride in just being reliable for the folks on this side of town. The building is older but it stays cool enough in the shade. That is basically our life here.
