Carmel Spices Private Limited

Our small building sits right on Siruvani Main Road in Thenkarai. It’s number 35/1. Being near the road makes it easy for the trucks to bring in the raw spices. The smell inside the building is always strong, mostly pepper or turmeric depending on the day. We are Carmel Spices, but we aren't a giant factory. It’s more of a family feel here. We spend our mornings sorting through the seeds and barks. Some days the dust from the grinding makes everyone sneeze, but we have masks for that. We don't have a fancy website or a bunch of suits running the place. It’s mostly just us in our work clothes. The floor is usually covered in some kind of spice dust no matter how much we sweep. Thenkarai is a good spot for us because it’s a bit out of the main city rush but still accessible. We pack everything by hand or with small machines. It takes time. We don't rush the process because that’s how you lose the flavor. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It’s not a perfect operation, but we get the orders filled. People in Coimbatore know where to find us. We just keep our heads down and work with the spices we have. It’s been a long journey getting this place set up and we are still learning things.
