Blacksoil Agri (Opc) Private Limited is tucked away on 2nd Street in the Sa Kather Lay Out area. It's a quiet enough spot, right near Sivan Street. I started this place because I've always had an interest in how things grow and the business side of farming. Being a one-person company, or an OPC, means I wear a lot of hats throughout the day. One minute I'm on the computer looking at market rates and the next I'm out checking on a delivery that just arrived. The office is small but it works for what I need. I spend a lot of time talking to farmers and people in the trade. Dealing with soil and agricultural supplies isn't always clean work, but it feels right to me. I've been in this neighborhood for years and finally decided to set up shop right here. It’s convenient for getting around the city. Sometimes the neighbors pop in to say hello while I'm working on the books. The paperwork can get a bit much at times, especially when tax season rolls around. I don't have a big team, so everything that happens here goes through me personally. It's a simple operation, really. I focus on the day-to-day tasks and try to make sure things get where they are supposed to go. There isn't any fancy decor in the office, just a desk, some chairs, and plenty of files. It keeps me busy enough and I like being my own boss.
