Balakrishnan Hospital

Balakrishnan Hospital is right at number 205 on the 100 feet road. This road is always packed with cars and trucks. It never really seems to get quiet, even at night. The hospital is a bigger building than some of the small clinics around. We have several floors. The entrance has a heavy glass door that stays closed to keep the noise out. Inside, it is much quieter. There is a reception desk with a few people working there. They handle all the paperwork and the bills. We have a lot of beds for people who need to stay overnight. The hallways are long and have that smell of bleach and medicine. It is a busy place 24 hours a day. You see nurses walking back and forth in their uniforms. We have a small canteen where people can get tea or coffee. The chairs in the waiting areas are more comfortable than the ones in small clinics, but they are still just plain vinyl. We see all kinds of emergencies and regular checkups. Sometimes the ambulances come in with their sirens on. That makes a lot of noise on the 100 feet road. We have a parking area in the front, but it fills up very quickly. It is a big operation compared to a small clinic, but we still try to keep things simple and focus on the people.
